Our Introduction
Who we are and what we do
Established in 1997, we began as a small 700 square foot grooming salon.
In 2003 we purchased our current home at 37 Darling Dr. Coldwater, MI and began boarding, training and daycare services along with our grooming.
Our Groomers... Danyelle (Dany) Stalhood joined us in 2004 and has been with us ever since.
Jennifer Rakoske (Owner) has been grooming in Coldwater since 1993. First working at a local vet clinic, then a pet store and finally opened Golden Paws.
Both Dany and Jennifer are Graduates of The Canine School Of Canine Cosmetology in Lansing MI. The 600 hour course was an intense hands on learning course where breed specific cuts were taught, proper handling of both dogs and cats and instructions on client/business relations were also taught.
Chloe is a 2022 graduate of Coldwater High School. She also attended the Michigan School of Canine Cosmetology, graduated in May of 2023, and joined our team in June of 2023.
Our Kennel services include Boarding of both Dogs and cats. We pride ourselves in a very clean kennel. Our dog runs are 4x6 and 6x6, fully heated and air conditioned. The dogs have access to a large exercise yard where they are free to run. Our fence is 8 ft tall and has a guide wire along the bottom for safety so that no one gets too pushy. There are also 3- 6x12 outdoor runs for use during busy times when we need to allow more dogs outside at once. Only dogs that are well socialized and pass our temperament testing are allowed to run together in the yard- with supervision.
Our Cats are housed in a separate area in the grooming room where they can be easily cared for and have interactions with people.

Currently we are offering our Boarding and Grooming Services, both are available by reservation and appointment only. Inquiries are always welcome.
We have been involved in the grooming industry since 1993 and have been boarding since 2003. Our staff is experienced and school trained. We take pride in caring for your pets and providing them with a clean and safe place to stay as well as being groomed.

Our goal is to take care of your pet as though it is our own, to love them and care for them as they would be at home. We want them to thrive and be content while they are here with us, whether that be for a short nail appointment, a full grooming session that may last 4 hours, an overnight stay or a week long vacation with us.
